Annual conference of the UfM working group on Gas, Emissions Abatement and Hydrogen
On 16 December 2025, the OMEC, acting as Secretariat of the UfM Working Group on Gas, Emissions Abatement and Hydrogen (formerly the UfM Gas Platform), will hold its annual conference in Paris under the theme “The Role of Gaseous Fuels in Balancing the Energy Trilemma.” The annual conference will be an opportunity to hear the views of policymakers, industry representatives, international organizations and professional associations on common solutions to the region’s pressing environmental and climate challenges and on opportunities for cooperation in the energy sector.
In addition, on the afternoon of Monday, 15 December, a dedicated workshop on Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) will address key topics such as unveiling facts, navigating risks, tackling challenges, and seizing opportunities in this crucial field.
