Upcoming Online Briefing Ahead of OMEC Strategy Committee Meeting
On 29 January 2026, OMEC will hold a high-level online briefing from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (CET) in preparation for the Strategy Committee meeting taking place on 30 January in Paris.
The briefing will feature Mr. Ferid Belhaj, former World Bank Vice President and expert in geopolitics and international development. He will share his insights on the global and regional geopolitical context, focusing on implications for energy and climate challenges in the Mediterranean region, and the potential impacts on OMEC’s strategic priorities and its members.
The session will aim to frame critical strategic questions for the Committee’s discussions, including the prioritisation of key issues for OMEC and its members, as well as ways to strengthen OMEC’s role and added value across the region.
