OMEC at the High-Level Retreat on the Future of Euro-Mediterranean Relations
On 11 September in Rabat, OMEC took part in the Retraite de Haut Niveau sur l’Avenir des Relations Euro-Méditerranéennes. OMEC’s Director General contributed to the session “Vers une Méditerranée interconnectée : Énergie, Infrastructure et Digital.”
The Mediterranean region is at a strategic turning point. Faced with rising energy demand, climate commitments, and global digital transformation, regional interconnectivity in energy, transport, digital, and infrastructure emerges as a key driver for building a sustainable, stable, and prosperous common future.
This session provided an opportunity to explore concrete initiatives that can strengthen these interconnections, with a special focus on renewable energy, green hydrogen, digital infrastructure, and sustainable transport.
