OMEC Co-Organised Webinar on Eco-Design and Sustainability in CSP Manufacturing
The webinar “Ecodesign Concepts in CSP Manufacturing for Increased Environmental and Economic Competitiveness — Insights from the MSA-Trough” was held on 7 July 2026 and co-organised by OMEC within the framework of the Horizon Europe MSA-Trough project.
Held online via MS Teams, the second webinar in the MSA-Trough series gathered 38 participants, including researchers, engineers, manufacturers, energy companies, and industry associations, to discuss the role of eco-design in improving the environmental and economic performance of Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) manufacturing. The programme featured an overview of the project, technical presentations, a roundtable discussion with industrial and research partners, and concluded with a presentation of the main outcomes and next steps.
As a key partner in the MSA-Trough project, OMEC contributed to the webinar through a technical presentation and its expertise in the socio-economic and Life Cycle Assessment workstreams, while continuing to support the project’s dissemination and stakeholder engagement activities.
