OMEC Members Reviewed Preliminary Findings of the Mediterranean Energy Review 2026
On Friday 23 October 2026, OMEC’s MEP Task Force met to review the preliminary results and key messages of the Mediterranean Energy Review (MER) 2026, ahead of the final drafting phase and the report’s presentation at COP31. The meeting was held in hybrid format, online and at OMEC headquarters in Paris.
François Dassa, Chair of the MEP Task Force and Long-Term Program Director at EDF, and OMEC Director General Dr. Houda Ben Jannet opened the meeting. Lisa Guarrera, OMEC’s Director of Modeling & Monitoring, then presented the preliminary MER 2026 results and key messages. Members followed with their feedback, proposals and ideas for the final draft of the report.
