Follow-up meeting of the project for the prevention and reduction of plastics in the Mediterranean Sea
On 7 June 2023, the OME organised a follow-up meeting to the workshop on “Prevention and reduction of plastics in the Mediterranean Sea: role of the energy companies” that took place in October 2022 at OME premises in Paris, when innovative solutions for implementation were presented. The meeting took place in virtual mode via zoom.
The OME is leading this project with ADEME for the prevention and reduction of plastics in the Mediterranean Sea. The objective is to map the actors involved in the field of circular economy, in particular in the prevention, reduction, awareness raising, collection, sorting and recycling of plastics in the marine environment, notably in the Mediterranean area, and to make an inventory of actions and initiatives already in place.
The OME will organise a final meeting in Paris on 22 June 2023.
