OMEC at the 2026 global conference on the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development
Within the framework of the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development Conference, organized by UNESCO in Paris, OMEC participated in the high-level event “Science, Energy, Heritage and Peace: Women-Led Pathways for Sustainable Development”, held on 16 July 2026.
The event brought together institutional representatives, experts, and stakeholders from the fields of science, energy, heritage, and sustainable development to discuss the role of scientific cooperation and innovation in addressing energy transition and climate challenges, promoting sustainable development, and strengthening cooperation between Europe and Africa.
Discussions also highlighted the importance of inclusive governance, sustainable energy solutions, and the contribution of women to science, energy, heritage management, and peacebuilding processes.
