OMEC speaks at the Ifrikiya Energy Hub (IEH)
The City of Culture in Tunis hosted the 2nd Edition of the Ifriqiya Energy Hub (IEH) on 23-24 September 2026. Organized by the Tunisian Energy Society (TENS) in partnership with ETAP and ANME, IEH 2026 convened key energy stakeholders from across Africa to discuss energy policies, sustainable energy frameworks, energy security, and regional cooperation, spanning the full spectrum of the sector: renewable energy, hydrocarbons, electricity, and energy efficiency.
The closing session gathered H.E Mr. Kamel Bennaceur, former Tunisian Minister of Industry, Energy & Mines and CEO of Nomadia and Dr. Houda Ben Jannet, Director General of OMEC, to reflect on the Forum’s key discussions and explore the collaboration, innovation, and partnerships needed to advance Africa’s energy ambitions.
