Presentation of the Mediterranean Energy Perspectives 2025 in Madrid
Madrid, 23 September 2025 – The Mediterranean Energy Perspectives 2025 (MEP 2025) was launched in Madrid, hosted by Fundación Naturgy, gathering over 420 participants in hybrid format.
The event featured keynote interventions from Rafael Villaseca (Fundación Naturgy), Houda Ben Jannet (OMEC), and Francisco Reynés (Naturgy). A high-level roundtable followed, moderated by Miguel Ángel Patiño (Expansión), with speakers Stefano Sannino (European Commission), Paula Ceballos Coloma (European Commission in Spain), and Marco Piredda (Eni / OMEC).
MEP 2025 presents two scenarios for the Mediterranean’s energy future to 2050 and highlights the region’s potential for leadership in the clean energy transition through cooperation, investment, and innovation.
