Visit of Mr. Stefano Sannino, Director-General of DG MENA at the European Commission
OMEC had the honour of welcoming Mr. Stefano Sannino, Director-General of DG MENA at the European Commission.
This visit provided an opportunity to present OMEC’s mission and ongoing activities, while also reinforcing our longstanding partnership with the European Commission — a relationship that dates back to the organisation’s founding in 1988.
Discussions focused on the evolving regional energy landscape, including key opportunities, challenges, and future prospects. Mr. Sannino shared valuable insights into the work of DG MENA and its efforts to deepen dialogue with countries across the region, particularly in the context of the forthcoming New Pact for the Mediterranean.
